I have experienced all facets of the writing process. The late nights staring at a blinking cursor, deadlines quickly approaching, endless sticky notes, banker boxes of doom, the decimation of my work during a workshop, and all of the beautifully messy parts of writing. Writing fulfills me, while reading refuels me. With my educational background and passions it seemed natural to follow another dream of mine, becoming an editor.
My reading is diverse and my bookshelves span the fiction genres, but I am most familiar with romance and its sub genres, as well as mystery, historical, thriller, fantasy, and general fiction.
I will NOT work with anyone who has used AI to generate any part of their work. I also attest that I will not use AI in any part of my process.

Alpha readers are among the first people to read a finished early draft of a writer's work. It is the job of an alpha reader to find major plot inconsistencies, continuity issuses, characters that may need more development, etc.
Current rate: $.0005 per word
Proofreaders are the final set of eyes for a writer's manuscript, after it has gone through developmental and copy/line edits. A proofreader catches anything that may have fallen through the cracks. Things like missing words, misspelled words, formatting issues, repetitive language, etc.

Service Name
Developmental editing is the first stage of editing. Developmental editors assist writers with the big picture based on genre/sub genre expectations. This is not the phase of editing that focuses on spelling and grammer. The main focus of developmental editing is to help ensure that the story's blueprint is laid out to forge ahead as the best verison it could be.
